Driving along Parker Road lies a shop that immediately makes you feel at home. From the outside, the McDonald’s looking sign does 5 Star Resale no justice. The charming interior is full of second hand goods at great prices. Coach purses, St. John sweater suits, fall boots, full racks of jeans, cooking ware, vintage Canon cameras and more grace the store.

I may never go to the mall again. Okay, that may be an overstatement, but this is by far the best thrift store I have found in Colorado. The owner has shoppers that search for used high-end pieces and in turn sells them at a reasonable price. Each item is VERY gently worn and one of a kind. I found an Alexander McQueen FOR TARGET dress - when did that happen!? Unfortunately, it was too big but it was a beaut.

Since we all know (and if you didn’t now you do) that black is my favorite color it no surprise that the majority of the pieces I picked up today were black. Here’s what I found:

Christian Dior blazer: $20

Yves Saint Laurent blouse: $25

Neiman Marcus cashmere sleeveless turtleneck: $12

Jones New York cashmere shawl collar top: $15

2 pairs of clip-on earrings: $2 each

Ferragamo flats: $20

Aldo short heel boots: $25

5 Star Retail is located at 1412 S. Parker Road, Denver CO 80231 and is open 7 days a week.

Word on the street is that there is new stock every time you go into the store, and each piece flies out the door as quickly as it entered. So word of advice, if you find something you love just buy it ~ I guarantee it will be worth it.
